Made by M. Shorn & Sons and dated 1943.

Introduced in 1940 for the ill fated landings in Norway. Production carried on into the first part of WWII seeing action with the Long Range Desert Group amongst other units. This is the earlier sheepskin lined coat with was later replaced by the quilted kapok lined version. In between the outer khaki canvas and the sheepskin is a waterproof interlining which has gone a bit crisp in areas.

Arm pit to cuff - 17"

Drop centre back taken from the seam of the collar to the bottom hem - 44 1/2"

Condition: the coat does have signs of wear and age, the cloth is dirty overall. A small hole in the outer front left panel and the wool lining has some moth damage. There is some wear to the lining of the sleeves around the cuffs and there is a small repair or patch behind the lower button. Please take time to study the photos before purchasing bearing in mind this is a vintage pre-worn item that has flaws commensurate with age.
